Sony e-readers at the library

Posted by Megan on September 6, 2010

On Tuesday, September 7, the McGill library will launch an e-reader loan service. 105 Sony Reader Touch Edition PRS-600 devices will be available for a two-week loan period, with one renewal unless recalled.

The e-readers are loaned with some free pre-loaded e-books, but more compatible content can be borrowed from the library, downloaded for free or purchased from a number of sources. The readers also read PDFs and other types of documents.

Check out the library’s website for more borrowing information, an electronic version of the user manual, and instructional videos.

The service is available to all students, faculty, and staff at the following library branches:

  • Education Library and Curriculum Resources Centre
  • Howard Ross Library of Management
  • Humanities and Social Sciences Library
  • Life Sciences Library
  • Macdonald Campus Library
  • Marvin Duchow Music Library
  • Nahum Gelber Law Library
  • Schulich Library of Science and Engineering
